Air Quality Survey

SODC and Vale of White Horse invite you to have your say on the Draft Air Quality Action Plan 2023-27 for South Oxfordshire and the Vale of White Horse, which outlines the actions we will take to improve air quality in the districts.

Our action plan includes both area wide actions, which apply to the whole of both districts, as well as actions targeted at specific Air Quality Management Areas (AQMAs). Currently, there are six AQMAs in South and Vale: Abingdon, Botley, Marcham, Henley-on-Thames, Wallingford and Watlington.

This survey will ask you a few questions to find out your views on both area wide and targeted actions.

We are carrying out a six-weeks consultation which runs from Thursday 15 June to 11.59pm on Thursday 27 July 2023.

What happens next
Once the consultation has closed, we will analyse the results and comments received and present the updated Air Quality Action Plan (AQAP) to our Licensing Committee; we currently expect this to happen in the Autumn of 2023. We will then send the final AQAP to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) for approval. Once it’s approved we will publish full details of the final plan, together with the  consultation summary report, on our websites: South/Vale.
